6/6 What are our strategies and how do we use them?

Which crypto-currencies are supported by NapBots?

With NapBots, you will have the opportunity to trade automatically on a selection of crypto-currency pairs processed and managed by our bots.

Nevertheless, it is important to know how our strategies work and what their particularities are.
First of all, you should know that you won't be able to trade on every crypto-currency on the market. We have made a selection of cryptos among which you will find :

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Ripple (XRP)
  • Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
  • Binance Coin (BNB)
  • EOS (EOS)

All these coins are managed by a variety of bots, called "strategies" that our researchers have developed and perfected in order to outperform the crypto market.

You will find about 20 strategies that each handle one or more of the cryptos we offer:

What does each strategy represent?

Depending on your investment strategy, you can choose from any of the strategies listed above. However, it is better to know their characteristics. For this, several information are given to you:

A. Their wording

You will find AR and LO strategies:

  • LO (Long Only) strategies are only able to open Long (Buy) positions or Neutral positions.
  • AR (Absolute Return) strategies can open both Long (Buy) and Short (Sell) positions.

B. The cryptos they deal with

Each strategy is conditioned to trade one or two currencies in order to optimize its performance.

C. The frequency of their position taking:

We offer three types of bots according to their buying/selling frequency:

  • Weekly bots: they open positions every week (Friday night between 10pm and 2am) and can keep them open for several consecutive weeks.
  • Daily Bots: they usually open positions every day at midnight.
  • Hourly Bots: they open positions every hour and can keep them open for several consecutive days (this is rare).

Be aware that bots will only open positions if they detect a clear trend. If the market is uncertain and buying signals are weak, then they will keep a neutral position. This is to do risk management in order to protect your capital.

For example, the NapoX alloc ETH/BTC/USD AR hourly strategy will open Long and Short positions several times a day on the BTC/USD or ETH/USD pairs.

What performance data can I find for each strategy?

In order to help you choose the best strategy for you, you can find various performance data:

You will first find the performance achieved during a period (one year, three months, one month and one week). Please note that these performances are GROSS and do not take into account trading costs or potential slippage (time lag between buying order and the opening of the position).

You will also find the Max Drawdown which represents the maximum loss realized by the bot during a period.
The Turnover ratio represents the number of times the strategy has opened a position during a period. The higher this ratio is, the more positions the bot will have taken.

Finally, by clicking on a strategy, you will find all this information as well as a graph representing the overall performance during a period.

Let's take the example of the NapoX alloc ETH/BTC/USD AR hourly strategy:
